Let \(P\) be a subfield of \(\mathbf C\), which contains all roots of 1 and \(R\) be an associative algebra over \(P\), which for some natural \(m\) has no system of \(m\) nonzero orthogonal idempotents. The homomorphisms of some Lie groups into the groups \(u(R)\) of invertible elements of \(R\) are described. This is done by using homomorphisms of Lie algebras.
