The authors study the 3D Navier-Stokes equations for a perfect gas in a bounded domain. The aim is to study the low Mach number limit. The boundary conditions are ``impenetrable walls'', so that all waves remain withing the domain. The strong solution is shown to converge to that of the limit system. Local existence is proved in rather general case (with density and temperature separated from zero). Then some estimates are obtained together with a compactness result, which yields the desired limit.
