An \(f\)-cosymplectic manifold is a normal almost contact metric manifold \((M, \phi, \xi, \eta, g)\) such that \(\eta\) is closed and the additional condition \(d\omega=2 f \eta \wedge \omega\) is satisfied for a smooth function \(f\) and \(\omega=g(\phi \cdot, \cdot)\). The author studies some properties of \(f\)-cosymplectic manifolds satisfying the Miao-Tam equation \(-(\Delta_g\lambda)g +\nabla^2_g \lambda -\lambda \operatorname{Ric}=0\). Under the assumption that the additional condition \(\xi (\xi(f)+f^2)=0\) is satisfied, the author proves that such manifolds are either locally a product of a Kähler manifold with the Euclidean line or they have constant scalar curvature. Some corollaries in the 3-dimensional case and in the compact case are also obtained.
