In this paper, the authors analyze a special case of the so-called non-stationary Ruijsenaars functions, recently introduced by them, and that correspond to formal power series that constitute an affine analogue of the Macdonald functions. Specifically, using the \(S\)-duality properties of intertwining operators of the Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra related to \(N\)-fold Fock tensor spaces, alternative formulae for the non-stationary Ruijsenaars functions are obtained. Theorem 3.30, which is central to the paper, can be seen as a \(q\)-difference analogue of the integral formula by \textit{F. Atai} and \textit{E. Langmann} [J. Integrable Sys. 5, Article ID xyaa001, 26 p. (2020; Zbl 1445.37043)]. The vertex operator formalism is applied to obtain an integral operator that commutes with the elliptic Ruijsenaars operator, and the behaviour of these vertex operators in the conformal limit \(q \rightarrow 1\) is studied, enlarging previous work on the subject [\textit{M. Fukuda} et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 380, No. 1, 1--70 (2020; Zbl 1458.81035)].
