All rings are assumed to be commutative with unity. The authors study rings in which every pure ideal is projective. Those rings are called PIP-rings. The authors research homomorphic images of PIP-rings, and pullbacks trivial ring extensions and amalgamation of PIP-rings. For example, if \(I\) be an ideal of \(R\) such that \(I\subset J(R)\), and \(R/I\) is a Noetherian, then \(R\) is a PIP-ring. If \(A\) be a ring and \(E\) be an \(A\)-module, and let \(R = A \propto E \) be the trivial ring extension of \(A\) by \(E\), then if \(R\) is a PIP-ring, then so is \(A\). There are numerous examples in the paper. The results obtained in the paper continue research by \textit{J. Hu} et al. [J. Algebra Appl. 15, No. 2, Article ID 1650030, 19 p. (2016; Zbl 1371.18014)].
