\(g\)-quasifields (Q2366159)

The author investigates a special type of (finite) generalized André systems [compare \textit{D. A. Foulser}, Math. Z. 100, 380-395 (1967; Zbl 0152.189)]. These \(g\)-quasifields are described using the concept of pseudomorphisms of cyclic groups. Every finite Dickson nearfield [cf. \textit{H. Wähling}, Theorie der Fastkörper (Thales-Verlag Essen 1987; Zbl 0669.12014)] is a \(g\)-quasifield. In the second half, the author constructs locally finite quasifields as unions over chains of finite \(g\)-quasifields. This construction yields all locally finite near fields [cf. \textit{S. Dancs Groves}, Abh. Math. Semin. Univ. Hamb. 48, 89-107 (1979; Zbl 0413.12028)].
