Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field with a non-zero element \(q\). Consider the quantum affine \(k\)-algebra \(U_q(\widehat{\text{sl}}_2)\) with standard Chevalley generators \(e_i^\pm,K_i^\pm\), \(i=0,1\), and with \(q\)-Serre relations. Suppose that \(V\) is a finite-dimensional vector space over \(k\) with two diagonalizable linear operators \(A,A^*\) with eigenspaces \(V_0,V_1,\dots,V_d\) and \(V_0^*,\dots,V_s^*\), respectively, such that \(A^*(V_i)\subseteq V_{i-1}+V_i+V_{i+1}\) and \(AV^*_i\subseteq V_{i-1}^*+V_i^*+V_{i+1}^*\). Here \(V_{-1}=V_{-1}^*=V_{d+1}=V_{s+1}^*=0\). It is also assumed that \(V\) is irreducible with respect to the pair of operators \(A,A^*\). Suppose that the eigenvalues of \(A\) in \(V_i\) and of \(A^*\) in \(V_j^*\) have the form \(aq^{2i-d}\), \(a^*q^{d-2i}\) for some \(a,a^*\in k\). Then \(V\) admits a structure of an irreducible \(U_q(\widehat{\text{sl}}_2)\)-module in which \(a(K_1^{-1}+e_1^-)\) acts as \(A\) and \(a^*(K_0^{-1}+e_0^-)\) acts as \(A^*\).
