The authors consider Maxwell's equations with constitutive relations \(J=\sigma E\), \(D=\varepsilon E+P\), \(B=\mu H+\beta Z\), \(\varepsilon,\mu\in\mathbb{R}_{>0},\) \(\sigma\in\mathbb{R}_{\geq 0}\), \(\beta\in\mathbb{R}\setminus\left\{ 0\right\} \), where the polarization \(P\) is coupled to \(E\) by another Maxwell type system via a zero order non-linearity and the magnetization \(Z\) to \(H\) by a Landau-Lifschitz type evolutionary problem. The underlying domain is a 3-dimensional cube and periodicity boundary conditions are imposed. The global existence of a solution is obtained by a Galerkin type approximation method in conjunction with a vanishing viscosity approach.
