    If \((p)= (p_1, \dots, p_n)\) with \(0<p_1, \dots, p_n <\infty\), then \(L_{(p)} (\mathbb R^n)\) collects all \(f\) such that \[ \|f \|_{(p)} = \Big( \int_\mathbb R \dots \Big( \int_\mathbb R |f(x_1, \dots, x_n )|^{p_1} dx_1 \Big)^{p_2/p_1} \dots dx_n \Big)^{1/p_n} \] is finite. Let \(0<q\leq \infty\) and \(s\in \mathbb R\). Let \(\{ \phi_\nu \}_{\nu \in Z}\) be the usual homogeneous dyadic decomposition of \(\mathbb R^n \setminus \{0 \}\). Then \(\dot{F}^s_{(p),q}\) collects all homogeneous tempered distributions such that \[ \| f \, | \dot{F}^s_{(p),q} \| = \Big\| \Big( \sum_{\nu \in Z} 2^{\nu sq} \big| (\phi_{\nu} \hat{f} )^\vee \big|^q \Big)^{1/q} \Big\|_{(p)} \] is finite. The main result of the paper (Theorem 1) extends the classical Frazier-Jawerth characterization of the related homogeneous isotropic spaces \(\dot{F}^s_{p,q}\) to the above mixed version. In addition, the paper discusses related convergence problems.
