The notion of random fixed point index used here was introduced by \textit{G.-Z. Li} [Acta Math. Appl. Sin. 9, No. 2, 203--212 (1996; Zbl 0864.47045)]. The present authors calculate this index for some 1-set-contractive random operators. Let \((\Omega,{\mathcal U},\gamma)\) be a complete probability space, \(E\) a real separable Banach space, and \(D\) an open bounded subset of \(E\) with \(0\in D\). The following theorem is an example of obtained results: Theorem. Let \(X\) be a closed convex subset of \(E\), and \(A:\Omega \times {\overline D}\to X\) be a random semi-closed 1-set-contractive operator such that \(\| A(\omega ,x)-x\| \neq \| A(\omega ,x)\| -\| x\| \) for all \(\omega \in\Omega\) and \(x\in\partial D\). Then \(A(\omega,\cdot)\) has the random fixed point index \(i_R(A(\omega ,\cdot),D,X)=1\).
