In [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 155, 455--473 (1971; Zbl 0248.31007)], \textit{M. Fukushima} published a paper, quoted in the references of the present one, in which he established a one-to-one correspondence between regular Dirichlet forms and symmetric Hunt processes. After its publication, another author made evident the connection between pseudo differential operators, stochastic processes and Dirichlet forms. It is also known the link pseudo-differential operators -- infinitesimal generators of regular Feller semigroups. There are, also, other many mathematical structures where appear pseudo-differential operators. A drawback in the approach of the stochastic processes via Dirichlet forms is the problem of non-uniqueness, put, also, by \textit{M. Fukushima}, \textit{Y. Oshima} and \textit{M. Takeda} in [Dirichlet forms and symmetric Markov processes, Berlin: Walter de Gruyter (1994; Zbl 0838.31001)] quoted in the references, showing that two stochastic processes associated with the same Dirichlet form are equivalent if there exists a common exceptional set \(N\) such that the transition functions coincide outside of \(N\). In other words, there is put the question if it is possible to find a representative for the equivalence class of all associated processes. Many authors tried to overcome this difficulty in different manners. The purpose of the authors in this paper is to make the same thing, based on the results already obtained in this direction. They start from the fact that there exists a stochastic process associated with a symmetric, regular Dirichlet form. To overcome the nonuniqueness, they show that the method used by other authors previously, who assumed the existence of a large class of Markov processes, associated with the operator as infinitesimal generator, is applicable to all points outside of the exceptional set \(N\), introduced by \textit{M. Fukushima} in his paper from 1994 (loc. cit.), mentioned above. This allows the authors to show that the resolvent and the semigroup of the Dirichlet process can be modified to a Feller process resolvent and semigroup, which implies that the form has been generated by a pseudo-differential operator in the first place. All methods and results from this paper are inspired and based on some other published papers of the authors, who worked separately.
