\textit{J.\ Baker} [Proc.\ Am.\ Math.\ Soc. 80, 411--416 (1980; Zbl 0448.39003)] proved that an approximately multiplicative mapping defined on a semigroup and with complex values must be either bounded or multiplicative. This result was generalized by \textit{J.\ Lawrence} [Aequationes Math. 28, 94--101 (1985; Zbl 0594.46047)] who proved the same assertion (called superstability) for mappings with values in some normed algebras. The paper under review deals with some function algebras with convolution \(\ast\) as multiplication and multiplicative operators on them, i.e., satisfying the Cauchy equation \(F(f\ast g)=F(f)\ast F(g)\). The author proves that under some additional assumption on the range of \(F\) the considered equation is superstable (in sense of Baker and Lawrence) and he shows lack of superstability, generally.
