A purely analytic proof is given for the result of \textit{C. T. Shih} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 129, 157--179 (1967; Zbl 0178.20504)], concerning the (transient) Markov processes whose hitting distributions are dominated by those of a given process. The frame is also more general: the (common) state space is a Lusin topological space. The basic notions and results used are as by \textit{L. Beznea} and \textit{N. Boboc} [Potential theory and right processes. Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers (2004; Zbl 1091.31010)].
