The space of holomorphic functions on the unit disk in the complex plane is classical and important. There are several natural and important normed linear spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disk satisfying suitable conditions, for example, the Bloch space and the Dirichlet space. \textit{R. Aulaskari, J. Xiao} and \textit{R. Zhao} [Analysis 15, No. 2, 101--121 (1995; Zbl 0835.30027)] defined a family of \(Q_p\) spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disk, parametrized by a real number \(p\), that contains the Bloch space and the Dirichlet space. The \(Q_p\) space was generalized later by others to the unit ball in the complex space \(\mathbb C^n\) and also to smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains. In this paper, the authors introduce the \(Q_p\) spaces for bounded symmetric domains. Note that this represents an important generalization of the unit disk in the complex plane different from smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains. Then, they compare these spaces with other known spaces such as the Bloch space and BMOA spaces in order to generalize the results for the unit disk and the unit ball.
