The authors deal with the representation of the Titchmarsh-Weyl function (\(m\)-function) for singular second order Strum-Liouville operators generated by \[ -y''(x)+q(x)y(x)=0, \quad x\in[0,\infty), \] where \(q\) is a real function satisfying \[ \int_0^\infty(1+x)| q(x)| \,ds<\infty \quad\text{and}\quad \int_0^\infty| q(x)| ^2 \,dx<\infty. \] It is shown that the sequence \(\{y(0,in+i/2),y'(0,in+i/2)\}\) and the constant \(\int_0^\infty q(x)\,dx\) are enough to determine and to construct the \(m\)-function at any point in the uper half complex plane. The idea of interpolation of functions in Hardy spaces is used. The key idea is to use the Gelfand-Levitan-Marchenko theory which allows to represent Jost solutions by the Fourier transform.
