The authors introduce the notion of a pairwise irresolute mapping of \(([0,1]\)-)fuzzy bitopological spaces \(f:(X,\tau_1^X,\tau_2^X)\to(Y,\tau_1^Y,\tau_2^Y)\), where \(\tau_i^X:[0,1]^X\to [0,1]\) and \(\tau_i^Y:[0,1]^Y\to [0,1]\), \(i=1,2\), are \(([0,1]\)-)fuzzy topologies on sets \(X\) and \(Y\) resp. in the sense of the reviewer [\textit{A. P. Šostak}, Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo, II. Ser. Suppl. 11, 89-103 (1985; Zbl 0638.54007)]. This definition of pairwise irresolutity as well as other similar properties of mappings defined in the paper essentially relies on the level decomposition of fuzzy bitopologies. Some properties of pairwise irresolute mappings of fuzzy bitopological spaces are studied. In particular, it is shown that a pairwise irresolute mapping is pairwise semi-continuous; a pairwise semi-continuous pairwise almost open mapping is pairwise irresolute. Pairwise irresolutity and pairwise continuity of mappings of fuzzy bitopological spaces are mutually independent notions.
