In this paper, the authors consider the following nonlocal elliptic problem \[ \begin{cases} -a(\int_{\Omega}\left|u(x)\right|^{\gamma}dx)\Delta u=\lambda f(x,u),\;x\in\Omega,\\ u(x)>0,\;x\in\Omega,\\ u(x)=0,\;x\in\partial\Omega \end{cases}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\subseteq\mathbb{R}^{N}\) \((N\geq 1)\) is a smooth and bounded domain, \(\gamma\in(0,\infty)\), \(a:[0,\infty)\longrightarrow(0,\infty)\) is bounded and \(f\in C(\bar{\Omega}\times[0,\infty),[0,\infty))\). Using the theory of fixed point index, they prove some results on the multiplicity of positive solutions for the problem (1) under some variant suitable conditions on \(f\).
