In first part of the paper, the author recalls the setting and the main results regarding the homogenization in the context of differential and partial differential equations. Also, we find a survey on Sobolev lattices. The author uses a useful tool, namely the ``weak-strong principle'', to obtain a criterion which ensures that it is possible to compute the limit of a product of convergent sequences of material laws and convergent sequences of Hilbert space elements. Special attention is given to the homogenization of evolutionary equations with a spatial operator that has compact resolvent. All theoretical results on homogenization are embodied in concrete equations from acoustic, thermodynamics and so on.
