Fronts of weighted cones (Q2930204)

The authors study singularities of fronts of weighted cones \(g:\mathbb{R}\times S^1 \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^3\), \((r,s)\mapsto (r^a \gamma_1(s),r^b \gamma_2(s),r^c \gamma_3(s))\), where \(s \mapsto (\gamma_1(s), \gamma_2(s),\gamma_3(s))\) is a space curve and \((a,b,c)\) is a triple of three positive integers whose greatest common divisor is one. They obtain asymptotic formulae for the principal curvatures and principal directions of weighted cones near the vertex (corresponded to \(r=0\)) and construct a singular \(C^3\)-surface with bounded principal curvatures.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1291.32001].
