A note on the spectrum of composition operators on spaces of real analytic functions (Q513401)

Let \(X\) be the space of all real analytic functions on the real line endowed with the natural locally convex topology. If \(\varphi\) is a real-valued, real analytic function on the real line, then it induces a continuous composition operator \(C_\varphi: X\to X\). The paper under review determines the spectrum of \(C_\varphi\) on \(X\) for some symbol functions \(\varphi\) and gives estimates for the spectrum of \(C_\varphi\) for more general symbols.
