    A classical formula of \textit{E. Landau} [Math. Ann. 71, 548-564 (1911)] states that \[ (1)\quad \sum_{0<\gamma \leq T}x^{\rho}=- \frac{T}{2\pi}\Lambda (x)+O(\log T)\quad, \] where \(\rho =\beta +i\gamma\) denote the complex zeros of \(\zeta\) (s), \(T\geq T_ 0\), \(\Lambda (x)=\log p\) if \(x=p^ k\) (a prime power) and zero otherwise. The author assumes the Riemann hypothesis (i.e., \(\rho =+i\gamma)\) and proves a fairly complicated formula which sharpens the right-hand side of (1) and a previous result of the author [Comment. Math. Univ. St. Pauli 31, 99-113 (1982; Zbl 0489.10032)] where the sum in (1) was evaluated also under the Riemann hypothesis.
