Cohomology of \(G\)-sheaves in positive characteristic (Q5907001)

Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(X\) a proper noetherian \(G\)-scheme defined on an algebraically closed field \(k\). Given a coherent \(G\)-sheaf on \(X\), the space of global sections is called a Galois module. Using the theory of equivariant \(K\)-theory, one can calculate the characters of the Galois modules. If the characteristic \(p\) of \(k\) does not divide the order \(n\) of the group, then the character determines the isomorphism class of the module. However, if \(p\) does divide \(n\), then this is not the case. In this article, the author defines a refinement of the equivariant \(K\)-theory of \(X\) which gives more precise information when \(p\) divides \(n\).
