The object of the paper is the construction of a free field resolution of unitary representations of the \(N=2\) superconformal algebra. As an example of the Felder resolution for the irreducible representations of the Virasoro algebra shows, the free-field constructions (``bosonizations'') of finite-dimensional algebras affect the resolution of irreducible representations and change the structure of Verma-like modules. In all constructions involving ``bosonization'' the irreducible representations are connected to the cohomology of the screening operator acting on the spaces of free-field representations. Despite the wide use of free fields, the free-field resolutions of irreducible \(N=2\) representations have not been constructed (one exception is the resolutions of irreducible \(N=2\) representations in terms of Verma modules). In the paper under review the author fills this gap for the unitary \(N=2\) representations by constructing the resolution associated with the fermionic screening operator. For this construction, one of the realizations of the \(N=2\) superconformal extension of the Virosoro algebra connected with the Ginzburg-Landau models is used. The corresponding resolution is constructed in the space of bosonic \((\beta\gamma)\) and fermionic \((bc)\) ghost system, but, contrary to the Wakimoto modules in the \(\widehat{\text{sl}}(2)\) case, here it appears natural to consider twisted modules transformed by spectral flow. A half of the \(N=2\) resolution consists of modules generated by gravitational descendants of the highest-weight vector in the cohomology. The BRST cohomology of the fermionic screening operator is evaluated.
