The authors consider the output feedback stabilization problem for SISO bilinear systems of the form \[ \dot x= Ax+ (Bx)u,\qquad y= cx. \] It is well known that if (control Lyapunov condition) \[ x^t(PB+ B^t P)x\neq 0,\qquad x\neq 0\Rightarrow x^t(PA+ A^t P)x< 0 \] holds, then the system admits a state feedback stabilizer. The authors assume that, additionally, the pair \((c,A)\) is observable. The proposed design involves a dead-beat observer and a control acting alternatively on a sequence of time intervals.
