The author studies the problem of approximating a locally unique solution of a nonlinear operator equation \( F(x)=0\), where \(F\) is an \(m\)-times Fréchet-differentiable operator (\(m \geq 2\) is a positive integer) defined on a convex subset \(D\) of a Banach space \(E_1\) with values in a Banach space \(E_2\). A complete error analysis shows the quadratic convergence of the Newton's method. A numerical example is given to show that obtained results provide a better information on the location of the solution as well as finer error bounds on the distance involved than earlier results. A second numerical example shows how to solve a nonlinear integral equation appearing in radiative transfer.
