Related to the Brown-Peterson spectrum BP (for a fixed prime \(p\)) are spectra \(\text{\text{BP}}\langle q\rangle\) having coefficient ring \(\text{\text{BP}}\langle q\rangle_*\cong \mathbb{Z}_{(p)}[v_1,v_2,\dots, v_q]\). The \(r\)th space in the omega spectrum for \(\text{\text{BP}}\langle q\rangle\) (respectively BP) is called \(\underline{\text{BP}\langle q\rangle}_r\) (respectively, \(\underline{\text{BP}}_r)\). The \(\underline{\text{BP}\langle q\rangle}_r\), for various \(q\) and \(r\), are the spaces of the paper's title.NEWLINENEWLINE There are generalized cohomology theories \(E(m,n)^*\) (ranging between \(E(n, n)^*(\;)\), Morava \(K\)-theory, and \(E(0,n)^*(\;)\), the \(p\)-completed version of the Johnson-Wilson theory \(E(n)^*(\;))\). In what follows, \(E^*(\;)\) will stand for one of these \(E(m,n)^*(\;)\) or for \(p\)-completed Brown-Peterson cohomology. We should note that the \(E^*(\;)\) cohomology of the Eilenberg-MacLane space \(K(Z_{(p)}, s) E^*(K(Z_{(p)}, s))\) is a known object.NEWLINENEWLINE Multiplication by the Brown-Peterson generator \(v_i\) induces a map of spaces NEWLINE\[NEWLINEv_i: \underline{\text{BP}}_{r+| v_i|}\to \underline{\text{BP}}_rNEWLINE\]NEWLINE and hence an induced morphism NEWLINE\[NEWLINEv^*_i: E^*(\underline{\text{BP}}_r)\to E^*(\underline{\text{BP}}_{r+| v_i|}).NEWLINE\]NEWLINE Let \(r= 2(1+ p+ p^2+\cdots+ p^q)+ k\). One of the feats of the authors is to compute \(E^*(\underline{\text{BP}\langle q\rangle}_r)\). One form of the structure theorem involves completed tensor products of two ingredients.NEWLINENEWLINE (1) Certain \(E^*(K(Z_{(p)}, s))\)'s.NEWLINENEWLINE (2) Kernels of NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\widetilde\bigotimes v^*_i: E^*(\underline{\text{BP}}_r)\to \widetilde\bigotimes_{i> q} E^*(\underline{\text{BP}}_{r+| v_i|}).NEWLINE\]NEWLINE A second form leads to a new description of the \(E^*(\;)\)-cohomology of Eilenberg-MacLane spaces NEWLINE\[NEWLINEE^*(K(Z_{(p)},q+ 2+ k))\cong E^*(\underline{\text{BP}\langle q\rangle}_r)/(v^*_1, v^*_2,\dots, v^*_q).NEWLINE\]
