Let \(L\) be an even lattice equipped with a quadratic form \(q\). If \(L'\) denotes the dual of \(L\), then the Weil representation \(\rho_L^\ast\) attached to the quadratic module \((L'/L, q)\) is a certain unitary representation of the integral metaplectic group \(Mp_2 (\mathbb Z)\) on the group algebra \(\mathbb C [L'/L]\). Given \(k \in (1/2) \mathbb Z\) with \(k >2\), let \(M_{k,L}\) denote the space of \(\mathbb C [L'/L]\)-valued holomorphic modular forms of weight \(k\) with respect to \(Mp_2 (\mathbb Z)\) and \(\rho_L^\ast\). In this paper the authors study Eisenstein series in the space \(M_{k,L}\) and obtain a closed formula for their Fourier coefficients in terms of Dirichlet \(L\)-series and representation numbers of \(L\) modulo bad primes. Such Eisenstein series occur naturally in the context of Borcherds' theory of automorphic products. The authors also indicate some applications to modular forms on the orthogonal group of \(L\) with zeros on Heegner divisors.
