The author continues his investigation of \(p\)-adic multiple zeta values [J. Number Theory 108, No. 1, 111--156 (2004; Zbl 1155.11358)], presenting a computation of values of the \(p\)-adic multiple polylogarithms at roots of unity. The main result of the paper under review (Theorem 6.4.3 with Propositions 6.4.1 and 6.3.1) is to give an explicit expression for the cyclotomic \(p\)-adic multi-zeta values \(\zeta_{p}(s_1, s_2; i_1, i_2)\) of depth two. The result is far too technical to state here. Contents: 1. Introduction. 2. The fundamental differential equation. 2.1. The de Rham fundamental group of \(X_M\). 2.2. Crystalline fundamental group of \(X_M\). 3. Rigid analytic functions on \(U_M\). 4. Cyclotomic \(p\)-adic multi-zeta values of depth one. 5. \(M\)-power series functions. 6, Computation of the higher depth part. The proof of the theorem is rather technical; it is based on rigid analytic function arguments and a long distance analysis of group-like elements of related algebras. Short history and connections among Galois groups, fundamental groups, motives and arithmetic functions are presented in the talk by \textit{Y. Ihara} [in: Proceedings of the international congress of mathematicians (ICM), August 21-29, 1990, Kyoto, Japan. Volume I. Tokyo etc.: Springer-Verlag. 99--120 (1991; Zbl 0757.20007)]. For number fields the category of realizations has defined and investigated by \textit{P. Deligne} [in: Galois groups over \(\mathbb{Q}\), Proc. Workshop, Berkeley/CA (USA) 1987, Publ., Math. Sci. Res. Inst. 16, . 79--297 (1989; Zbl 0742.14022)]. Results on multiple zeta values, Galois groups and geometry of modular varieties has presented by \textit{A. B. Goncharov} [Prog. Math. 201, 361--392 (2001; Zbl 1042.11042)]. Interesting unipotent motivic fundamental group is defined and investigated by \textit{P. Deligne} and \textit{A. B. Goncharov} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 38, No. 1, 1--56 (2005; Zbl 1084.14024)]. Tannakian interpretation of \(p\)-adic multiple zeta values is given by \textit{H. Furusho} [Am. J. Math. 129, No. 4, 1105--1144 (2007; Zbl 1182.11031)]. Results obtained in the paper under review may be applied to problems of the \(p\)-adic theory of higher cyclotomy.
