    The following statement is known as \textit{Zero divisor conjecture}: ``Let \(R\) be a local ring and \(M\) be a finitely generated \(R\)-module of finite projective dimension over \(R\). If \(x\in R\) is a non-zerodivisor on \(M\), then \(x\) is a non-zerodivisor of \(R\)''. \textit{Rigidity theorem} states that ``if \((R, \mathfrak{m})\) is a regular local ring and \(M\) is a finitely generated \(R\)-module, then \(M\) is rigid. Recall that an \(R\)-module \(M\) is called \textit{rigid} if \(\mathrm{Tor}_i^R(M, N)=0\) for some finitely generated \(R\)-module \(M\), then \(\mathrm{Tor}_j^R(M, N)=0\) for all \(j\geq i\). In the paper under review, the authors prove some results about zero divisor conjecture and rigidity theorem in terms of \(k\)-regular sequences, which introduced by \textit{Nong Quoc Chinh} and \textit{Le Thanh Nhan} [Algebra Colloq. 15, No. 4, 599--608 (2008; Zbl 1159.13008)]. Mainly, they prove that, for any \(k\)-regular \(M\)-sequence \(x_1, \ldots, x_n\), if \(\dim\mathrm{Tor}_2^R(R/(x_1, \ldots, x_n),M)\leq k\), then \(\dim\mathrm{Tor}_i^R(R/(x_1, \ldots, x_n),M)\leq k\), for all \(i\geq1\). Also, they show that if \(\dim\mathrm{Ext}_R^{n+2}(R/(x_1, \ldots, x_n),M)\leq k\), then \(\dim\mathrm{Ext}_R^i(R/(x_1, \ldots, x_n),M)\leq k\), for all \(i\geq0\, (i\neq n)\).
