On some \(\Pi_q\)-identities of Gosper (Q6144655)

\textit{R. W. Gosper} [Dev. Math. 4, 79--105 (2001; Zbl 1058.33017)] introduced a \(q\)-constant \(\prod_q\), which is defined by \[\prod_q = q^{1/4} \frac{(q^2; q^2)^2_\infty}{ (q; q^2)^2_\infty}.\] In this paper the author establishes some modular equations of degrees 3 and 5. From these modular equations two groups of \(\prod_q\)-identities in Gosper's list are confirmed. The obtained results are very interesting.
