    In this paper, the authors study the second-order semilinear control system \[ \begin{array} {l} y''(t)= A y(t)+ B u(t)+ f(t,y(t),y'(t)), \ t \in J=[0,T], \\ y(0)=y_0, \ y'(0)=y_1, \end{array} \] where \(A\) is a close linear operator on Hilbert space \(\mathbb{H}\) such that \(D(A) \subset \mathbb{H}\), \(B\) is a bounded linear operator from Hilbert space \(\mathbb{U}\) to \(\mathbb{H}\), state variable \(y(\cdot), y_0, y_1 \in \mathbb{H}\) and control variable \(u \in L^2(J,\mathbb{U})\). In addition, \(f\) denotes non-linear mapping \(f : J \times \mathbb{H} \times \mathbb{H} \rightarrow \mathbb{H}\). \par By using Tikhonov regularization, the authors construct the regularized control for the corresponding linear system and prove its approximate controllability. \par After that, the semilinear system is shown approximately controllable, and some results are derived. In addition, the error estimates and convergence rates involved in the regularization procedure are also obtained. \par An example confirm the theoretical results.
