Let \(G\) be an infinite graph embedded on a surface, either a torus or a plane, so that every face has all its vertices lying on a circle of radius 1. Into every face insert a vertex and connect it by edges to all vertices bounding this face. If we label every edge of the original graph by special numbers, so-called critical coupling constants, then we obtain the critical Z-invariant Ising model. Take the critical Z-invariant Ising model of \(G\) and truncate all its vertices. This operation yields a cubic graph. So truncate all the vertices once again. Then every vertex lies in a triangle and the graph of the resulting map is called a Fischer graph \(\mathcal G\) of \(G\). Adding special weights \(\nu\) to edges we obtain the critical dimer model of the Fischer graph \(\mathcal G\). The Kasteleyn matrix \(K\) is an infinite matrix whose rows and columns are indexed by the vertices of \(\mathcal G\), defined by \(K_{xy}=\varepsilon_{xy}\nu_{xy}\), where \(\varepsilon\) is either \(1\) or \(-1\) (or \(0\) if \(xy\notin E(\mathcal G)\)) according to a special orientation of the edges of \(\mathcal G\). The main result of the paper is a formula determining the values of \(K^{-1}\).
