    It is considered the second order nonlinear difference equation \[ \triangle(\varphi_p(\triangle u_{n-1})) + f(n,u_{n+1},u_n,u_{n-1}) = 0\;,\;n\in Z \] with \(\triangle\) the forward difference operator \(\triangle u_n=u_{n+1}-u_n\), \(\triangle^2u_n=\triangle(\triangle u_n)\), \(\varphi_p(s)=| s| ^{p-1}s (1<p<+\infty)\) is the \(p\)-Laplacian operator and \(f(\cdot,v_1,v_2,v_3)\) is \(T\)-periodic for given \(T\in N_+\). Several sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a (non-trivial) \(qT\)-periodic solution for any given integer \(q>0\).
