Calculations are reported for three differential constitutive models with constant viscosities: the upper-convected Maxwell model, the Oldroyd-B model and the dumbbell model of \textit{M. D. Chilcott} and \textit{J. M. Rallison} [J. Non-Newtonian Fluid Mech. 29, 381-432 (1988; Zbl 0669.76016)]. Calculations are based on the explicitly elliptic momentum equation and the elastic viscous split stress method for calculations with models without and with a Newtonian solvent contribution, respectively.
