The main result of the paper is an explicit representation of the horizontal lift of Brownian motion on the bundle of orthonormal frames on the Poincaré upper half-plane model of the hyperbolic plane. Then this result is applied for obtaining an expression for the heat kernel for the de Rham-Kodaira Laplacian on the above-mentioned half-plane and for studying the Selberg trace formula.
