Stability analysis of uncertain systems with saturation constraints
The paper studies stability of the zero solution for the system \[ \dot x= h(Ax) \] with \(h(Ax)= \text{col} (h_1(x), \dots, h_n(x))\), where \[ h_k(x)= \begin{cases} 0\quad &\text{for } |x_k |=1,\;\left(\sum^n_1a_{kj} x_j\right) x_k\geq 0 \\ \sum^n_1a_{kj} x_j \quad & \text{otherwise.} \end{cases} \] In this way, the system operates only on the hypercube \(-1\leq x_i\leq 1\). The main tool is a quadratic Lyapunov function \(x^*Px\) where \(P\) is not only positive definite but also diagonally dominant. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0868.00028].
