Stability of relative equilibria. I: Comparison of four methods
From MaRDI portal
The authors discuss the stability of relative equilibria of Hamiltonian systems, and compare four analytical methods: the investigation of stability by linearization, Routh method, energy-momentum method, and reduced energy-momentum method. The study is demonstrated on the example of rotating pendulum.
