The mean value of the modulus of an analytic function.

From MaRDI portal

Es sei \(f (x)\) regulär-analytisch (kein Polynom) und \(M(r)\) bezeichne das Maximum von \(| f (x)| \) für \(| x| = r.\) Dann gelten bekanntlich folgende Sätze: 1. \(M (r)\) wächst monoton mit \(r.\) 2. \(\log M (r)\) ist eine konvexe Funktion von \(\log r.\) 3. \(M (r) \to \infty\) für \(r\to \infty\) und zwar stärker als irgendeine Potenz von \(r.\) Verf. beweist, daß\ auch die Funktion \[ \mu^\delta (r) = \frac 1{2\pi} \int_0^{2\pi} | f(re^{i\theta})| ^d\theta \qquad (\delta>0) \] diese Eigenschaften besitzt.
