The regularity of envelopes

From MaRDI portal

In the present work, the authors are interested in the regularity of envelopes of quasiplurisubharmonic functions. Their main result is as follows.\N\NLet \(X\) be a compact complex manifold, let \(\alpha\) be a real closed \((1,1)\)-form representing a big class of \(X\), and let \(f\) be a \(C^{1,\overline 1}\) function on \(X\), i.e., \(f\) is (locally) \(L^\infty\) and its Laplacian (in the sense of distribution) is represented by a (locally) bounded function. For the envelope \(P_\alpha(f)=(\sup\{\varphi(x)\colon \varphi\leq f, \ \varphi\) is \(\alpha\)-psh\(\})^\ast\), they prove \(P_\alpha(f)\) is \(C^{1,\overline 1}\) on the ample locus of \(\{\alpha\}\).\N\NFor smooth \(f\), this result was claimed to be proven in [\textit{R. Berman} and \textit{J.-P.\ Demailly}, Prog. Math. 296, 39--66 (2012; Zbl 1258.32010)]; yet, it turned out that this proof had a gap. Although the proof in the present work uses similar arguments as in the incomplete proof, the authors have adapted them substantially and added new crucial parts to close the gap.
