The spectrum of local dualisable modular representations
Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(k\) a field of characteristic \(p\). Denote by \(\operatorname{StMod} kG\) the stable category of \(kG\)-modules. Associated to a homogeneous prime ideal \(\mathfrak{p}\) of the projectivised cohomology ring \(\operatorname{Proj} H^* (G,k)\) there is an idempotent functor \(\Gamma_{\mathfrak{p}}\) on \(\operatorname{StMod} kG\) which picks out a minimal localising tensor ideal. The authors previously studied the subcategory of dualisable objects of \(\Gamma_{\mathfrak{p}} \operatorname{StMod} kG\) [\textit{D. J. Benson} et al., ``Locally dualisable modular representations and local regularity, Preprint, \url{arXiv:2404.14672}] and this work is a continuation of that study.\N\NIn the article under review, the authors show that cohomological support yields a bijection between thick tensor ideals in the subcategory \((\Gamma_{\mathfrak{p}} \operatorname{StMod} kG)^{\mathrm{d}}\) of dualisable objects and the specialisation closed subsets of the spectrum \(\operatorname{Spec} H^*(G,k)^{\wedge}_{\mathfrak{p}}\) of the completion of the localised cohomology ring.\N\NThe theorem above is first proved in the case where \(G\) is an elementary abelian \(p\)-group by investigating the corresponding problem in some polynomial ring localised at a prime (see [\textit{D. J. Benson} et al., Ann. Math. (2) 174, No. 3, 1643--1684 (2011; Zbl 1261.20057)]), then extending to finite groups using Quillen stratification and obtaining as a byproduct an analogue of Quillen's stratification and \textit{G. S. Avrunin} and \textit{L. L. Scott} [Invent. Math. 66, 277--286 (1982; Zbl 0489.20042)] for local dualisable modules seen in Theorem 5.11.
