Three regularity results in harmonic analysis
In the paper under review the author proves certain regularity properties of three unrelated families of operators arising from separate problems in harmonic analysis. The first result concerns the classical Bochner-Riesz operators \(S^\delta\) on Euclidean spaces \({\mathbb R}^n\). The author proves an optimal weak-type estimate for the index \(\delta=(n-1)/[2(n+1)]\), which is the sharpest possible result one can obtain from \(L^2\) restriction theory alone. The second result addresses the question of the pointwise convergence of various wavelet sampling methods. The author shows that under general conditions the sampled function converges pointwise almost everywhere to the original function. The third result extends recent work by \textit{M. Christ} and \textit{J. L. Rubio de Francia} [Invent. Math. 93, 225-237 (1988; Zbl 0695.47052)] and \textit{A. Seeger} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 9, 95-105 (1996; Zbl 0858.42008)], on weak \((1,1)\) estimates for rough operators on Euclidean spaces, to more general homogeneous groups.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0955.43001].
