Time dependent potentials associated with exceptional orthogonal polynomials
Orthogonal polynomials and functions of hypergeometric type (Jacobi, Laguerre, Hermite, Askey scheme, etc.) (33C45) Other special orthogonal polynomials and functions (33C47) Time-dependent Schrödinger equations and Dirac equations (35Q41) Closed and approximate solutions to the Schrödinger, Dirac, Klein-Gordon and other equations of quantum mechanics (81Q05)
The purpose of this article is to study the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE) for position-dependent mass. The employed method is called form-preserving transformations (FPT), which establishes a mapping between two TDSEs for different potentials by changing the dependent and independent variabels in a suitable way. A transformation of the mass equation leads to a transformed Schrödinger equation called the rationally extended Scarf model, with known solutions Jacobi polynomials.\N\NSeveral special cases, which involve Laguerre polynomials, hyperbolic functions and Morse potentials are considered.
