Transfer functions and resolvent norm approximation of large matrices
From MaRDI portal
A unifying framework is introduced for methods employed in the approximation of the resolvent norm of nonnormal matrices, based on transfer functions. This formulation provides new information regarding the quality of the approximations constructed by these methods. Their application in computing the pseudospectrum of matrices is also given.
