Transference of measures via disintegration
This long paper advances the vector-valued integral representation theory. This has a long and illustrious history and a good place to start is the relatively recent monograph, [\textit{J.~Lukeš} et al., Integral representation theory. Applications to convexity, Banach spaces and potential theory. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter (2010; Zbl 1216.46003)]. This review gives a flavour of this important work, without jotting down a lot of notation and terminology.\N\NThe authors start with disintegration of complex measures on compact spaces (Proposition~2.10). Even though \textit{D.~H. Fremlin}'s monograph [Measure theory. Vol.~4. Topological measure spaces. Part I,~II. Corrected second printing of the 2003 original. Colchester: Torres Fremlin (2006; Zbl 1166.28001)] is quoted, I miss the old classic [\textit{L.~Schwartz}, Lectures on disintegration of measures. (Notes by S.~Ramaswamy). Bombay: Tata Inst. of Fundamental Research (1976; Zbl 0434.28003)] in the references. Then to move to the Banach space-valued case, one has the canonical embedding of the continuous functions \(C(K,E)\) embedded in \(C(K\times B_{E^\ast})\). Here \(K\) is a compact set and the dual unit ball is equipped with the weak\(^\ast\)-topology. Proposition~3.3 provides an integral representation via this embedding. \N\NSection 4 gives an alternative approach to transference of measures technique, considered earlier by \textit{C.~J.~K. Batty} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 60, No.~3, 530--548 (1990; Zbl 0672.46016)]. Chapter~5 develops vector-valued analogues of Choquet's ordering, starting with probability measures on the dual unit ball which represent the same unit vector (Theorem~5.4). One then considers on the product space \(K \times B_{E^\ast}\), positive measures of minimal norm. Theorem~5.11 then captures this `Choquet ordering' in terms of disintegration of measures.
