Two conditions for nonuniform Gabor frames
From MaRDI portal
Let \(\{x_m\}_{m\in I}\) and \(\{y_n\}_{n\in J}\) be countable sequences of real numbers. The author provides a necessary condition for an irregular Gabor system \(\{e^{2\pi ix_mt}g(t-y_n)\}_{m\in I,n\in J}\) to be a frame for \(L^2(R)\). In the semi-regular case, i.e., a system of the form \(\{e^{2\pi imbt}g(t-y_n)\}_{m\in Z, n\in J}\) for some \(b>0\), a necessary and sufficient condition for the system being a tight frame is found.
