Uniform growth of polycyclic groups
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We prove that polycyclic groups are of polynomial growth or of uniform exponential growth.
The following main result is proved. Theorem 4.3 (polycyclic alternative). Suppose that \(\Gamma\) is a polycyclic-by-finite group, then either \(\Gamma\) has polynomial growth or has uniform exponential growth.
