Unitary-triangular factorizations of a normal matrix
From MaRDI portal
Let \(A=QR\) where \(Q\) is unitary and \(R\) is upper triangular. It is shown that \(A\) is normal if and only if there are unitary matrices \(U\) and \(V\) such that both \(UQV\) and \(UR^*V\) are diagonal.
