Tldr We extend Wigner-Eckart factorization to polyatomic gases with continuous internal energy via an SO(3) reduction that survives Borgnakke-Larsen energy exchange; this reduces the collision integral to a sparse geometric tensor plus a dense physical tensor, enabling 40-fold speedup and compression by three orders of magnitude.
