Let \(K\) be a field and \(K^ c\) be an algebraic closure of \(K\). Let \(G\) be a finite group and let \(R(G)\) denote the Grothendieck ring of finite- dimensional \(K^ c\)-representations \(T: G\to GL_ n(K^ c)\) of \(G\). The class group of the group \(G\) is a quotient of the idèlic homomorphisms of \(R(G)\) by the global functions and the determinantal functions. Using Explicit Brauer Induction, the author proves that Adams operations, applied to determinantal functions, satisfy some congruences which were conjectured by M. J. Taylor. As an application, he constructs some new maps defined on the class group.
