The authors give a qualitative description of the depleton quasiparticles and the mechanism of coupling to linear sound excitations or phonons of the background liquid. The formal derivation of the depleton with the phonon subsystem is based on superfluid thermodynamics. Also, they discuss the coupling of the depleton with the phonon subsystem and derive a set of stochastic equations of motion for the depleton dynamics. These equations are then used to study radiation losses and to derive an expression for the depleton mobility.
